Our Approach
Bridging the African Edtech Gap
Our approach in designing SEF, we analysed the African edtech landscape with a focus on key categories such as gender, education levels, countries, and founder experience. Results from our analysis which also involved a review of where funding is going, on what, and where the gap is both in terms of funding and education sectors, helped us come to the conclusion that the venture studio approach is the best approach for SEF compared to other models such as accelerators and grand challenges. We also carried out a design sprint with African entrepreneurs and the government to verify our findings from the review of the various models.
